Just yesterday, I got an offer from a local Ford dealership - $40000 MSRP F150 XLT SuperCab for $30000.

I’ve seen RAM advertise trucks with a $17000 discount, but these were for very loaded models.

What is the cheapest full size 1/2 ton pick-up these days with all the discounts going on?

It would need to be 4x4, not the base engine, and 4 doors - no short suicide doors. My local RAM guy had an amazing lease offer on a 1500 Express, but it was a V6 and it just didn’t have enough oomph for a 5000+ lbs of truck.

I’d go for the Chevrolet Silverado Double Cab 4x4 5.3 V8 LS Custom. $35,489 with the convenience package and “auto-locking” diff. The Ram 1500 Express costs $37,190 with the diff, infotainment, power locks, 5.7, and colour-keyed trim. Even then, you still don’t get the 20" wheels, cornerstep, and a legibly sized (bigger than 5") screen in the Ram.
